Podgorica weather is classified as Mediterranean with strong Adriatic sub tropical influences. Situated only 50 km from the Adriatic Sea and juxtaposed between three rives and in close proximity to the Dinaric Alps, the capital of Montenegro enjoys hot, dry summers and cold winters.

Perhaps the most distinguished feature of Podgorica weather is its extremely hot summers. Temperature peaks during July and August often soaring over 40 °C. Even during the long, cold months of winter weather in Podgorica retains a somewhat mild disposition rarely dropping bellow 6 °C during January, the year’s coldest month. For around 135 days each year, temperature exceeds 25 °C while the median daily temperature is 16.4 °C. The average annual amount of precipitation is 1544mm, and the relative humidity of the air is 59. 6%. 115 days out of the year experience rainfall and 60 of those strong winds. In excess of 135 days per year the air temperature is above 25 Cº.
